Testimonials

Claire Wolfe, University of Worcester

The visit provided a stimulating session for the Year 3 BA (Hons) Journalism students. They were able to question the MEP over procedural issues within the European Parliament and to develop stories based on both her politics and her personal outlook, as she had recently disclosed that she had undergone gender reassignment. The feedback from the students was very positive and the experience was beneficial for their Reporting Politics module which required them to produce news stories.

Push Projects

Nikki visited the Push Projects youth group to talk about her life and career in politics, and really inspired the young people we support. People in politics can often give a lot of spin and say a lot without really saying anything at all, but Nikki was the complete opposite; real, honest, open, sincere, motivational and inspiring. Our young people enjoyed Nikki's talk more than any other guest speaker who has attended the group and because of Nikki they feel more able to progress and achieve in life."

Elaine Burton, Burton Women In Rural Enterprise

Nikki Sinclaire was guest speaker at our women's business networking group in May 2014 and you could have heard a pin drop as Nikki told us about the European Union and some of the challenges and triumphs of her life and work as an MEP.

Articulate, intelligent and thought-provoking, I would thoroughly recommend her to any groups looking for a motivational speaker with a fascinating story to tell.

Feedback from our members was 100% positive. They said they were 'inspired', 'motivated', and could have listened to Nikki all night.

Hagley Rotary Club

The club members found the talk most enlightening. They felt Nikki was honest in her beliefs, and sincere in the way she put them across. It made for an enjoyable and informative meeting. Thank  you again for taking the time to come and talk to us!

Simon Sharpe-Foster, Birmingham Metropolitan College

A quick note to say a sincere thank you to Nikki Sinclaire, who visited BMet college last year to speak to AS and A2 Government and Politics students at our Matthew Boulton Campus.  Nikki was an engaging, well informed speaker who really brought the subject to life for our students.  She was punctual (a rare trait in some politicians nowadays), attentive and allowed a wide range of questions to be put to her.  Unlike some politicians, Nikki made a genuine effort to answer all of the questions posed, even when it was clear that she disagreed with the premise of some of the questions.  Consequently, the students gave very positive feedback and felt involved and valued. Although Nikki is longer an MEP, we would be delighted to have her again to speak about her experiences in as an MEP.

Peter Woodward-Gregg, Arbury Rotary Club

I am delighted to tell you that that our members thoroughly enjoyed the presentation made by Nikki. Not only did she know her subject extremely well but was able to answer the many questions put by our members after her talk. It does show how knowledgable she has become about European affairs and I know that many of our members would have shown their support at the ballot box!

Louise Keevil, Derwen College

Nikki came to our college during her election campaign.  She showed great interest in our students and staff,  quickly gaining an understanding of our vision and the issues we face that are driven by political agendas.   She spent time with our students,  demonstrating her belief that young people whatever their background or ability can be involved in politics.   She was so interested in the young people at college that she came back to the open day. Students were very impressed that she did that – they’re still talking about her & hoping their might be joint projects in the future.   It was clear that Nikki left people inspired by her respectful open approach and honest advice

Stratford-Upon-Avon Rotary Club

Nikki came and spoke to our members about the work of an MEP and why we need a referendum sooner, rather than later. Nikki gave us all an excellent presentation today which was very well received by the members.  It provoked a lot of positive discussion and will be a talking point for some weeks to come

Clare Whalley, Connect Women's Networking

Nikki came along to the networking group I chair, Connect, as a guest speaker for a visitors day we were hosting. Nikki drew in a really great number of local business women to hear her speak and we are still receiving positive feedback now. Nikki was inspiring, motivating and clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about her role, we thoroughly enjoyed hosting her as a speaker. It was a welcome change to have a politician really engaging with local businesses."

Eileen Birch-Ward, West Midlands Pensioners Convention

The West Midlands Pensioners Convention members found Nikki's speech and her frank way of answering questions very interesting and she gave us food for thought.

Dr Simon Usherwood, Senior Lecturer, Politics, University of Surrey

Nikki was invited to be a panel speaker at a plenary session of the Annual Conference of the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES) in Leeds in September 2013. UACES is the world’s largest study association on the EU, and it is fair to say that Nikki’s contributions helped set the tone for the whole conference, with her reflections on the reasons for why critical attitudes towards the EU have become more common and what should be done about it. As always, she made her points with conviction and good humour and a genuine willingness to have a debate.

Dr Emma Foster, Lecturer in International Politics and Gender, University of Birmingham

As our local MEP, Nikki spoke at our POLSIS (Government and Society Student Conference). The feedback from the students about your speech, Nikki, was very positive and they all found what you had to say very interesting. Many thanks again – it was brilliant to work with you.

Marco Martinelli, Enrichment Co-Ordinator, Hereford Sixth Form College

I would like to thank Nikki on behalf of Hereford Sixth Form college for her contribution as a visiting speaker. An honest and forthright approach and clear line of argument made supranational politics accessible to all levels of our students.   On both occasions that Nikki has been a guest speaker, she has been instrumental in engaging our students to extra-curricular provision.

Michael De Groot, TLC Networking

Nikki Sinclaire joined us at one of our TLC Business Networking Breakfasts in Droitwich Spa, to introduce herself to our group and share her thoughts about the EU and possibly the failings of it for Great Britain. Her party 'We Demand a Referendum Now' certainly created some waves in Westminster and her determination and resolve to have the Prime Minister take notice of her petitions, has managed to get the EU Referendum well and truly on the agenda.
Nikki certainly knows her facts, not only was she the most active of West Midlands MEP's in Europe, she was also the most active throughout the West Midlands.

Nikki is a passionate politician and delivers her knowledge about the EU with a high degree of accuracy and precision. There's no doubt that she has researched the EU in great detail and is able to articulate exactly how it is failing Great Britain. Her booklet about where and how it is failing GB, shares details most West Midlands voters, probably have no knowledge of.

We are very grateful to Nikki for sharing her knowledge and her wisdom on a very sensitive matter. Plus she is the only politician that we have ever heard call us, the voters, her employers.
